Zachus Cosby married Mourning Jackson on 27 January 1782 in Goochland County, Virginia. Zachus Cosby married Nancy Richardson on 31 October 1808 in Greenbrier County, Virginia.

Zachus Cosby died on 27 May 1834 in Staunton, Virginia.

     Charles R Cosby was born on 21 October 1754 in Sowhalan, Cumberland County, Virginia. He was the son of David Cosby and Mrs Unknown. Charles R Cosby married Mary Minter, daughter of Anthony Minter, in 1779 in Virginia.

     Jeremiah David Cosby was born on 11 October 1761 in Goochland County, Virginia. He was the son of David Cosby and Mary Johnson. Jeremiah David Cosby also went by the name of blind David. He married Mary (?) before 1780 in Powhatan County, Virginia. David was a fiddle player and in one of the times he was playing for a dance he was blinded. This apparently happened when he was shot by a Mr. Gilliam by accident. As a result of his blindness he was unable to make a living for his family.

Jeremiah David Cosby died circa 1813 in Powhatan County, Virginia.
