     Samantha Martha Frazier was born on 14 August 1845 in Daviess County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Edmund W Frazier and Serilda Lashbrook. Samantha Martha Frazier married Amos Phillips in 1866. Samantha Martha (Frazier) Phillips married Emmons Tarp in 1876 in Mahaska County, Iowa.

Samantha Martha (Frazier) Tarp died on 15 August 1916 in Pine, Ripley County, Missouri, at age 71.

     Martha Ann Johnson was born on 26 January 1824 in Kentucky the daughter of Phillip Johnson. She was the daughter of Phillip Johnson and Rebecca Bennett. Martha Ann Johnson married Achilles Asa Lashbrook, son of James B Lashbrook and Rebecca Birkhead, on 1 April 1841 in Ohio County, Kentucky.

In 1850 the family farm included 40 acres of improved land and 40 acres of unimproved land. Farm implements were valued at 100 dollars and the total farm value was listed as 1,000 dollars. Livestock included 3 horses, 2 mules, 3 working oxen, 3 cattle, 10 sheep, and 20 swine. The livestock was valued at 180 dollars. The farm produced 15 bushels of wheat, 300 bushels of indian corn, 50 bushels of oats, and 4,000 pounds of tobacco. Two tons of hay and 20 pounds of wool were also produced and 40 dollars worth of livestock were slaughtered during the year.

Martha Ann (Johnson) Lashbrook died on 12 May 1874 in Daviess County, Kentucky, at age 50. She was buried in Salem Methodist Cemetery, Daviess County, Kentucky.

James Phillip Lashbrook appeared on the 1880 census, agricultural schedule of Masonville Precinct, Daviess County, Kentucky; as owner of a farm included 80 acres of improved land and 24 acres of unimproved land. The total value including land, buildings, machinery and livestock was 4,700 dollars. Wages of 250 dollars paid for 80 weeks of work produced 325 dollars worth of produce. Livestock included five horses, and three milk cows which produced 300 pounds of butter the previous year. The farm also included 5 additional cattle, 2 of which were sold and one of which was slaughtered, 50 sheep which produced 150 pounds of fleece, 18 swine and 30 chickens which produced 150 eggs. During the previous year 18 acres of land were used to produce 500 bushels of indian corn, and 4 acres were used to produce 30 wheat. Additional crop produced 15 pounds of potatoes and 10,000 pounds of tobacco. Three acres of land held 50 apple trees which produced 200 pounds of apples and bee hives which produced 30 pounds of honey.
