David Cosby was one of the first eleveen vestrymen after the organization of the parish of Fredericksville in Louisa County, Virginia after the seperation of Louisa county from Hanover county in 1742. David signed a lengthy test which was required of vestryment at that period of England's history which included an oath of allegiance to his Majesty King George the Second and an oath of abjuration declaring that no foreign Prince, Prelate, Person, State, or Potentate would have any power or authority within this realm. The test also included a declaration that he believed "that there was not any transubstantiation in the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper, or in the Elements of bread and wine at or after the consecration thereof by any person whatsoever."

David Cosby died in September 1770 in Louisa County, Virginia, at age 67.

Charles Cosby married Elizabeth Sydnor in 1762 in Louisa County, Virginia. Charles was born in the part of Hanover County that became Louisa County after his birth. He was a teacher and a planter. He moved from Louisa County to Spottsylvania County and finally to Elbert County, Georgia.

Charles Cosby died in 1802 in Elbert County, Georgia.

Major John Minor died in 1800 in Caroline County, Virginia.

     Joseph Dudley Cosby was born in 1842 in Virginia. He was the son of Alfred Cosby and Judith Ann Wilkinson.      Juland D Cosby was born on 11 June 1887 in Virginia. He was the son of Emmett Lloyd Cosby and Annie Evelyn Simms. Juland D Cosby lived with Emmett Lloyd Cosby and Annie E (Simms) Cosby on 11 June 1900 at 1061 North Main Street, Danville, Pittsylvania County, Virginia.

Juland D Cosby died on 14 November 1918 in Norfolk, Independent City (Norfolk), Virginia, at age 31 at 7:30 in the morning. His cause of death was pneumonia. He was buried in Forrest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, Independent City (Norfolk), Virginia, lot 99, Space 3.

Evelyn (Cosby) roberts died on 3 April 1914 in 18 Spencer Avenue, York, Ontario, Canada, at age 21. Her cause of death was influenza and acute larengitis which lasted for seven days.
