James Thomas Kirk was described as tall, medium build with gray eyes and brown hair in August 1918. He registered for the draft for World War I on 24 August 1918, while living at Daviess County, Kentucky, reporting he was self employed and that he had an injury to his eyes. He and Mary Frances (Shields) Kirk lived in April 1930 at Daviess County, Kentucky, on the Upper Masonville Road.

     Alphonso Lashbrook was born on 21 June 1914 in Daviess County, Kentucky. He was the son of James Alphonso Lashbrook and Nannie Walters. Alphonso Lashbrook married Mildred Louise Stinnett in 1935. Alphonso was present of Lashbrook Lumber Company when he retired. He had been president of the Kentucky Forest Industry Association and a longtime member of the National Hardwood Lumber Association. Alphonso Lashbrook was widowed with the death of Mildred Louise Stinnett on 16 December 1991 in Mercy Hospital, Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky.

Alphonso Lashbrook died on 19 June 1994 in Masonville, Daviess County, Kentucky, at age 79 at his home on US 231. Funeral services were held on 22 June 1994 in Blessed Mother Catholic Church, Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky, at 2:00 in the afternoon. He was buried on 22 June 1994 in Elmwood-Rose Hill Cemetery, Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky, in section H, lot 249.

He left all of his real and personal property to his wife Ida L Taylor for so long as she may live and then to be divided to each of his three children Augestus Taylor, Oscar Taylor, and Annie Rese McCann.
