Morris served in the merchant marine and the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky following the war. After graduation he worked for the Pet Milk Company in Tennessee and then later returned to Owensboro, Kentucky to work for the Green River REA. He served as a deacon in the Sugar Grove Baptist church and was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life.

Morris Elton Dawson died on 24 August 2007 in Daviess County, Kentucky, at age 80. He was buried in Elmwood-Rose Hill Cemetery, Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky.

Roy Jones Dawson died on 26 July 1959 in Owensboro, Daviess County, California, at age 41 when he drowned while trying to save the life of another boy who was drowning in the Ohio River. A fisherman also drowned trying to save the boy.

Ollie Dawson Hazelrigg married Minnie Lou Wellman, daughter of Joseph Newton Wellman and America Gardner Lashbrook, on 4 April 1900 in Daviess County, Kentucky. Ollie Dawson Hazelrigg was described as medium height with a medium build, blue eyes, and black hair in 1918. He registered for the draft for World War I in September 1918, while living at Daviess County, Kentucky, reporting he was employed as a self-employed farmer.

Ollie Dawson Hazelrigg died on 22 March 1966 in Daviess County, Kentucky, at age 87. He was buried in Elmwood-Rose Hill Cemetery, Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky.

Elizabeth A (Dawson) Hazelrigg was widowed with the death of John Overton Hazelrigg on 27 July 1891 in Daviess County, Kentucky. Elizabeth was qualified as the administratrix of the estate of her husband J.O. Hazelrigg by the Daviess County, Kentucky court in August 1891. J.T. Dawson, J.W. Ellis, and G.W. Burton were appointed as appraisers at the same time.

Shortly after he went to bed he complained of a pain at his heart. Funeral services were held on 28 July 1891 in Daviess County, Kentucky, at his residence with the Rev. B.F. Swindler of Owensboro conducting the services. His cause of death was heart disease. He was buried on 28 July 1891 in Elmwood-Rose Hill Cemetery, Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky, in Section A-4.
