They joined friends from Jackson for a tour of Canada before returning home by automobile the first of August. Stella Jackson was enumerated as his 48 year old wife. He was a business man who owned or co-owned several stores. He operated Jackson's Variety Store on First Street in Grenada for a number of years, closing it due to health. He then worked for Herring's Dry Goods Store and Keeton's Store. He and Stella (Dubard) Jackson were the owners and operators of the Variety Store, which they sold to Mr. Spain at Grenada, Grenada County, Mississippi. Joe H. Jackson was a Presbyterian and served as a church elder for many years.
