James Thomas Owens married Isabella Milling, daughter of Hugh Milling and Elizabeth Burney, on 3 February 1831 at Fairfield District, South Carolina. Researcher's Note: Lida Lake Owens stated that they moved to Mississippi in 1840 and that they had ten children, eight of which died young. James Thomas Owens appeared on the census of 1850 at Oktibbeha County, Mississippi; enumerated 26 September. James T. Owens was enumerated as age 43, head of household and a farmer with real estate valued at $5000. Included in the household were: Isabella age 43, Isabella age seventeen, John age fifteen, Margaret age twelve, Eunice age ten, Elisha age eight, Larah age four and one year old Edwin. Isabella, John, Margaret, Eunice and Elisha had attended school within the year. He and Middleton Elisha Owens were appointed by the court as executors for the Elisha Owens estate in August 1856 at Starkville, Oktibbeha County, Mississippi. Elisha Owens' last will and testament named both of them as his choice for executors. The court ordered that before "entering upon the duties of the office" they take the oath and give bond and security. James T. Owens and J. C. Harvey in September 1856, signed as security for M. E. Owens as the executor of the Elisha Owens estate. James Thomas Owens appeared on the census of 1860 at Lowndes County, Mississippi; enumerated 4 August. J T Owens was enumerated as age 56, head of household and a minister. I M Owens was enumerated as age 52 with personal estate valued at $2000. Included in the household were J H Owens a 24 years old farmer with personal estate valued at $2000, Elisha Owens a seventeen year old student, Laura age fourteen and Edwin age twelve, both in school. He appeared on the census of 1870 at Oktibbeha County, Mississippi; enumerated 18 August. James T. Owens was enumerated as age 63, head of household and a minister. He owned real estate valued at $2500 and personal property valued at $500. Included in the household were Isabella age 63, keeping house and Edward T. age 21 and a farmer with personal property valued at $200. He died between 1870 and 1880 at Oktibbeha County, Mississippi.

He married Willola (Parsons) Nason in 1946 at Okeechobee County, Florida. Frank Friend was widowed with the death of Willola (Parsons) Nason Friend on 18 December 1962 at Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida. Frank Friend died on 5 January 1973 at Palm Beach County, Florida, at age 97.

     Lancaster Nason was born on 12 March 1787 at County Cork, Ireland. He was the son of John Nason and Catherine Atkins. Lancaster Nason married Mary (?) circa 1829 at Ireland. Lancaster Nason was a farmer in September 1850 at Oktibbeha County, Mississippi. He appeared on the census of 1850 at Oktibbeha County, Mississippi; enumerated 25 Sept. Lancaster Nason was enumerated as age 64 and Mary Nason was enumerated as age 57. Four Nason children were enumerated as Catharine age 19, James age 17, Lancaster age 12, and Edward age 3.

Lancaster Nason died on 15 September 1856 at Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, at age 69. He was buried at Chestnut Log Cemetery, Double Springs, Oktibbeha County, Mississippi; at the Double Springs Baptist Church. Included in the household were the daughter and son of Dallis and Emma, Margaret E. age seven and Gale H. age two. Emma Irene (Hattox) McLarty appeared on the census of 1920 in the household of Dallas S. McLarty at Lafayette County, Mississippi; with Dallas S. enumerated as head of household, age 45, a farmer and Emma enumerated as his wife, age 43. They owned their farm free of mortgage.
