Included in the household were a Black couple, Jennie and Jack Harris. He was doing odd jobs and she was the Wright family cook. She was enumerated as twice married and the mother of three living children. The three Black children named Carr were likely her children. She appeared on the census of 1930 at Shelby County, Tennessee; enumerated 8 April. Gertrude was enumerated as the 41 year old divorced head of household and working as a seamstress in her own home. Enumerated with her were three daughters; Etoile age twenty, Catherine age seventeen, Winnie age fifteen and one son, Randolph age nineteen. Randolph was working as a salesman in a filling station and the three daughters were all attending school. Included in the household were two female boarders and one male boarder. Enumerated as a separate household but in the same dwelling was a young married couple paying $25 monthly rent. Gertrude owned a radio and her home valued at $6500.

     Julius B. Harbin II was born on 26 April 1882 at Mississippi. He was the son of Julius B. Harbin and RobertAnna Dubard. Julius B. Harbin II died on 12 July 1885 at Mississippi at age 3. He was buried at Spring Hill Cemetery, Grenada, Grenada County, Mississippi.
