Campbell of Louisa County who was Nelley's uncle. The best man was B.B. Sandidge who was the brother of Forest. A dinner at the home of the bride followed the ceremony. Following the dinner Nelley and Forest left on the northbound train Number 50 for a trip to Washing, Baltimore and other locations. Forest and Nellye had at least three children including Lucille B. Sandidge, Margret C. Sandidge, and Geraldine Buckwitt Sandidge.

Mary was listed in the will as deceased. Another negro woman named Mell was left to all the children together.
