     Purnie Underwood Campbell was born on 14 April 1872 in Ray's Branch, Warren County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of George Washington Campbell and Hester Taylor Penner.

Purnie Underwood Campbell was named in the will of her father, George Washington Campbell on 6 June 1892 at Warren County, Kentucky, wittnessed by J.E. Potter and H.P. Potter. George appointed his son John S Campbell as executor and directed that all of his estate and property, both real and personal including stocks, bonds, notes, accounts, and money was to go to his wife Hester T Campbell except if she remarriaded in which case she was to take of the estate and property according to the provisions of the laws of the State of Kentucky. In the following provisions of his will, George specifically left detailed instructions for the care of each of his daughters who were single on 6 June 1892. These provisions were to be in effect in the event his wife Hester remarried or died. George ultimately left his remaining estate, after all of the 14 elements of the will had been carried out, to be equally divided among his remaining children. A bond for the marriage of Purnie Underwood Campbell and James E Boulton was signed on 29 November 1893 in Warren County, Kentucky. Her cause of death was inflamation of the stomach after a several weeks illness.

A bond for the marriage of Ethel Correne Campbell and Robert Homes Hicks was signed on 13 September 1911 in Simpson County, Kentucky, in the sum of one hundred dollars by Robert Hicks and G.R. Taylor. Ethel Correne Campbell married Robert Homes Hicks on 13 September 1911. It is interesting to note that the image of the bond/marriage record shows the bond on page 67, yet on the facing page, page 68, the groom is J.F. Bennett and the bride is Maggie Lewis. Even more interesting is that the marriage certificate on the same page shows Robet Hicks and Ethel Campbell and the related information that would have accompanied their marriage lined through and replaced with that of Bennett and Lewis. The resultant marriage date for Bennett and Lewis is shown as 17 September and there is no actual marriage record apparent for Ethel and Robert.

Ethel Correne Campbell died on 14 July 1953 in Mid-State Baptist Hospital, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, at age 65. Her cause of death was pulmonary embolus. She was buried in Union Hill Cemetery, Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee.

     Bertice Campbell was born in May 1890 in Kentucky. He was the son of John William Campbell and Della Mae Pruitt. His cause of death was typhoid fever.
