     Claud Mortimer Hooker Jr. was born on 14 June 1911 in Richmond, Richmond (Independent City), Virginia. He was the son of Claude Mortimer Hooker and Winnie Warton. Claud Mortimer Hooker Jr. died on 14 March 1936 in Stuart Circle Hospital, Richmond, Virginia, at age 24 at 7:00 in the morning. Stuart Circle Hospital was built by a consortium of doctors in 1913. It was a six story building with an open roof garden on the sixth floor. It also had a solarium where patients could be brought to get sun. By 1919 it extended South along Lombardy toward West Avenue and each floor had a sun parlor with rooms with three windows above the main door to the building. These were patient rooms at the time of Claud's death but were later converted to 4-bet rooms by 1940. His cause of death was lobar pneumonia on the right side. He was buried on 15 March 1936 in Riverview Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia.
