Afterwhich he remained at Fort Sill and attended the AS Flying School until his discharge. He ended military service on 13 December 1918; with an honorable discharge as a Private, first class. He was a merchant in April 1921 at Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. He was described as being five feet, six inches tall with an oval face, fair complexion and brown hair and eyes on 16 April 1921. On 16 April 1921 Ralph V. Haile applied for a passport for himself and his wife to be Mary Neal Donoho at the U.S. District Court located in Cincinnati, Ohio. He requested that the passports be sent to him in care of the American Express Company, 65 Broadway, New York, New York. He and Mary Neal Donoho obtained a marriage license on 20 April 1921 at Trousdale County, Tennessee. Ralph Virden Haile married Mary Neal Donoho, daughter of Dr. Alfred Gallie Donoho Jr. and Leyla E.
