White served as a deacon for the Rocky River Presbyterian Church from 1877 to 1878. He also served as an elder from 1878 until his death in 1936. John McKemie Wilson White married Isabelle Jane Flowe on 3 January 1878 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina. John McKemie Wilson White and Isabelle Jane Flowe were the parents of six children. John McKemie Wilson White was widowed with the death of his wife, Isabelle (Flowe) White on 17 February 1933 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina. He wrote an early history of the White family which the Lore sisters used in their research for their published work.      Harriet Newell Rebecca Lowrance was born on 13 July 1839 at Rowan County, North Carolina; the daughter of John M. Lowrance and Elizabeth Lowrance. She married John Robert McKemie White, son of Josiah Pemberton White and Jane C. Miller, on 18 November 1861. John Robert McKemie White and Harriet N. P. Lowrance were the parents of four children. Harriet (Lowrance) White was widowed with the death of her husband, John Robert McKemie White on 30 November 1870 at Rowan County, North Carolina. As of 27 December 1875, Harriet Newell Rebecca Lowrance was also known as Harriet Newell Rebecca (Lowrance) Goodman after her marriage to Nelson D. Goodman. She died on 16 July 1922 at Iredell County, North Carolina, at age 83. She was buried on 17 July 1922 at Back Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mount Ulla, Rowan County, North Carolina.

     Thomas White was born in 1772 at Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. He was the son of John White and Margaret White. Thomas White also went by the name of Coldwater Tommy. He married Mary Bradshaw in 1793 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
