     Olivia Blackburn was born on 12 November 1891 in Virginia son of John Blackburn and Frances Hamsberger. She married Philip Ransome Cosby, son of Ira Lafayette Cosby and Lina B Duncan, in 1911.

Olivia Blackburn died on 1 November 1974 in Bridgewater, Rockingham County, Virginia, at age 82. She was buried in Edgewood Cemetery, Weyers Cave, Augusta County, Virginia.

     Cora Unknown was born in 1867. She married Howel Hunter Cosby, son of Branch E Cosby and Mary S walker, in 1885.

Cora Unknown died in 1944. She was buried in Maury Cemetery, Richmond, Independent City (Richmond), Virginia, next to her husband Howel Hunter Cosby.

     Ennis Branch Cosby was born on 25 March 1895 in Virginia. He was the son of Howel Hunter Cosby and Cora Unknown.

William Wilson Cosby was graduated in 1940 at Virginia Polytechnic Institute with a degree in industrial Engineering. He married Mildred Henderson.

William was a member of the VPI Corp of Cadets. He entered World War II as an officer in the United States Army and served overseas for 30 months with tours of duty in India, Burma, and the Philippines. After returning home from the war he entered local industry as an engineer and worked for General Electric which became Dawbarn Brothers, then W.R. Grace, Thiokol, and finall Wayne-Tex where he retired in 1987. William Wilson Cosby was widowed with the death of Mildred Henderson on 15 January 1998 in Virginia.

William Wilson Cosby died on 23 July 2008 in Waynesboro, Independent City (Waynesboro), Virginia, at age 89. He was buried in Edgewood Cemetery, Weyers Cave, Augusta County, Virginia.

     Francis Blackburn Cosby was born on 19 October 1920 in Rockingham County, Virginia. He was the son of Philip Ransome Cosby and Olivia Blackburn. Francis Blackburn Cosby married Alice Mary Williams in 1940.

     Carroll Duncan Cosby was born on 12 May 1926 in Grottoes, Rockingham County, Virginia. He was the son of Philip Ransome Cosby and Olivia Blackburn. Carroll Duncan Cosby married Lorena Baker in 1951.

Carroll Duncan Cosby died on 6 April 1974 in University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, Virginia, at age 47 at 2:10 in the afternoon. His cause of death was Intracranial Hemorrhage. He was buried on 10 April 1974 in Edgewood Cemetery, Weyers Cave, Augusta County, Virginia.

     Mildred Henderson was born on 6 March 1922. She married William Wilson Cosby, son of Philip Ransome Cosby and Olivia Blackburn.

Mildred Henderson died on 15 January 1998 in Virginia at age 75. She was buried in Edgewood Cemetery, Weyers Cave, Augusta County, Virginia.

     Alice Mary Williams was born on 29 June 1922 in San Francisco, California. She married Francis Blackburn Cosby, son of Philip Ransome Cosby and Olivia Blackburn, in 1940.

Alice Mary Williams died on 27 July 2008 in California at age 86.

     Philip Ransome Cosby Jr. was born on 22 April 1917 in Rockingham County, Virginia. He was the son of Philip Ransome Cosby and Olivia Blackburn. Philip Ransome Cosby Jr. married Ethel Knight in 1940.

     Ethel Knight was born on 8 August 1918. She married Philip Ransome Cosby Jr., son of Philip Ransome Cosby and Olivia Blackburn, in 1940.

Ethel Knight died on 17 May 1998 in Virginia at age 79.

     Lucy R Mead was born in 1887. She married Benjamin C Cottrell, son of Joseph C Cottrell and Mary Mollie Lemon, on 7 May 1913 in Slater, Saline County, Missouri. Lucy R (Mead) Cottrell and Benjamin C Cottrell lived in April 1930 at Cambridge, Saline County, Missouri, at 110 1/2 Maple.

Lucy R Mead died in 1965 in Missouri. She was buried in Slater City Cemetery, Slater, Saline County, Missouri.

     Elizabeth Hudson was born circa 1850 in Warren County, Kentucky, the daughter of Irby and Minerva Hudson. She married Columbus Marion Phelps, son of David D Phelps and Matilda Allcock, on 8 November 1860 in Sumner County, Tennessee, according to the forms of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, in Gallatin, Tennessee.

Elizabeth Hudson died on 15 August 1878 in Warren County, Kentucky. Her cause of death was milk leg.

     John F Phelps was born in October 1861 in Kentucky. He was the son of Columbus Marion Phelps and Elizabeth Hudson.

John F Phelps died between 1900 and 1910.

     James Edgar Phelps was born on 6 January 1868 in Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky. He was the son of Columbus Marion Phelps and Elizabeth Hudson.

James Edgar Phelps died on 29 March 1953 at age 85.

     Rasmus F Phelps was born on 14 October 1867 in Kentucky. He was the son of Columbus Marion Phelps and Elizabeth Hudson. Sometime prior to 1895 Ras stole a horse from his father’s brother Henry and then left the country. Around the middle of April 1895 Detective O’Day located Ras in Oklahoma and secured requisition papers so he could bring him back to Warren County to answer for his crime. He was indicted and waiting for the case to be called for trial on 29 April 1895 when his father shot and killed Henry to prevent him from testifying against Ras. He was tried for the horse stealing charge by jury on 27 May 1895. He pleaded not guilty and was found not guilty by the jury.

     Mary Josephine Phelps was born on 27 August 1869 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Columbus Marion Phelps and Elizabeth Hudson.

Mary Josephine Phelps died on 4 October 1936 in Logan County, Kentucky, at age 67.

     Lucille Leith Leith was born on 18 February 1901 in Grottoes, Rockingham County, Virginia, the daughter of James L. Leith and Sally M. Yager. She married Duncan Ralph Cosby, son of Ira Lafayette Cosby and Lina B Duncan, in 1929.

Lucille Leith Leith died on 22 March 1997 in Augusta, Virginia, at age 96. She was buried in Port Republic Cemetery, Port Republic, Rockingham County, Virginia.

     Marian Ethel Adkins was born on 19 August 1890 in Chesterfield County, Virginia, the daughter of Daniel J Adkins and Laura Sims. She married Wilson Dance Cosby, son of Ludwell William Cosby Jr and Maria Courtney Palmore, on 22 April 1912 in Richmond, Independent City (Richmond), Virginia.

Marian Ethel Adkins died on 10 May 1977 in Virginia at age 86. She was buried in Skinquarter Baptist Church Cemetery, Skinquarter, Chesterfield County, Virginia.

     Woodrow Wilson Cosby was born on 16 February 1913 in Pawhatan County, Virginia. He was the son of Wilson Dance Cosby and Marian Ethel Adkins. Woodrow Wilson Cosby married Eva Vest on 23 November 1935 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Woodrow and Eva separated on 10 July 1978. Woodrow Wilson Cosby and Eva (Vest) Cosby were divorced on 22 May 1980 at Chesterfield County, Virginia. The divorce was granted to Eva by the Commnwealth of Virginia with the cause listed as one-year separation on the divorce certificate. There were three children listed, none of whom were under 18 in the family at the time of the divorce.

Woodrow Wilson Cosby died on 4 September 1993 in Virginia at age 80. He was buried in Skinquarter Baptist Church Cemetery, Skinquarter, Chesterfield County, Virginia.

     Laverne Ethel Cosby was born on 12 July 1919 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Wilson Dance Cosby and Marian Ethel Adkins. Laverne Ethel Cosby married Hunter Hall Bellamy on 21 December 1940 in Moseley, Pawhatan County, Virginia. Hunter and LaVerne had at least one child, Hunter Hall Bellamy, Jr., who was born in 1947 and died in 1977.

Laverne Ethel Cosby died on 4 April 1994 in Virginia at age 74. She was buried in Skinquarter Baptist Church Cemetery, Skinquarter, Chesterfield County, Virginia.

     Julian Daniel Cosby was born on 25 November 1923 in Virginia. He was the son of Wilson Dance Cosby and Marian Ethel Adkins. Julian Daniel Cosby began military service on 11 February 1943 in the Navy. He ended military service on 20 March 1946.

Julian Daniel Cosby died on 25 February 2002 in Chesterfield County, Virginia, at age 78. He was buried in Skinquarter Baptist Church Cemetery, Moseley, Chesterfield County, Virginia.

     Marjorie Maude Cosby was born on 19 August 1925 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Wilson Dance Cosby and Marian Ethel Adkins. Marjorie never married.

Marjorie Maude Cosby died on 28 June 1943 in Sheltering Arms Hospital, Richmond, Independent City (Richmond), Virginia, at age 17 at 7:40 in the evening after an 18 day stay in the hospital. Her cause of death was pulmonary embolism. She was buried on 1 July 1943 in Skinquarter Baptist Church Cemetery, Skinquarter, Chesterfield County, Virginia.

     Stuart Ludwell Cosby was born on 12 June 1928 in Virginia. He was the son of Wilson Dance Cosby and Marian Ethel Adkins. Stuart Ludwell Cosby married Joan Elizabeth Atkinson on 14 April 1956 in Moseley, Pawhatan County, Virginia. Stuart was found dead at his favorite fishing hole. He had gone fishing in the morning and did not return home. His family searched for him and found that he had passed away while fishing.

Stuart Ludwell Cosby died on 4 May 2006 in Pawhatan County, Virginia, at age 77. He was buried in Skinquarter Baptist Church Cemetery, Skinquarter, Chesterfield County, Virginia.

     Ernest Linwowl Cosby was born on 27 July 1931 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. He was the son of Wilson Dance Cosby and Marian Ethel Adkins. Ernest Linwowl Cosby married Flora Mae (Cheatham) Lego on 12 September 1964 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Ernest and Flora had five children Woodrow D Cosby, Ernest L Cosby, Ann M Cosby, Theresa D Cosby, and Steven Cosby.

Ernest Linwowl Cosby died on 15 May 2003 in Richmond, Independent City (Richmond), Virginia, at age 71. He was buried in Skinquarter Baptist Church Cemetery, Skinquarter, Chesterfield County, Virginia.

     Elizabeth Unknown was born on 19 May 1921. She married Worden Graham Lashbrook, son of Worden Graham Lashbrook and Lora Ethel Day.

     Flora Mae Cheatham was born in 1931 in Richmond, Independent City (Richmond), Virginia, the daughter of Joseph Dellian Cheatham and Thelma Mae Hastgings. She married Ernest Linwowl Cosby, son of Wilson Dance Cosby and Marian Ethel Adkins, on 12 September 1964 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Ernest and Flora had five children Woodrow D Cosby, Ernest L Cosby, Ann M Cosby, Theresa D Cosby, and Steven Cosby.

Flora Mae Cheatham died after 2003.

     Hunter Hall Bellamy was born on 13 January 1916 in Pawhatan County, Virginia, the son of Hunter H. Bellamy and Ada Fleming. He married Laverne Ethel Cosby, daughter of Wilson Dance Cosby and Marian Ethel Adkins, on 21 December 1940 in Moseley, Pawhatan County, Virginia. Hunter and LaVerne had at least one child, Hunter Hall Bellamy, Jr., who was born in 1947 and died in 1977.

Hunter Hall Bellamy died on 25 February 1978 in Virginia at age 62. He was buried in Skinquarter Baptist Church Cemetery, Skinquarter, Chesterfield County, Virginia.

     Joan Elizabeth Atkinson was born on 10 May 1929 in Muskogee, Muskogee County, Oklahoma, the daughter of A.H. Atkinson and Kate Cottingham. She married Stuart Ludwell Cosby, son of Wilson Dance Cosby and Marian Ethel Adkins, on 14 April 1956 in Moseley, Pawhatan County, Virginia.

Joan Elizabeth Atkinson died on 25 April 1996 in Virginia at age 66. She was buried in Skinquarter Baptist Church Cemetery, Skinquarter, Chesterfield County, Virginia.

     Eva Vest was born on 3 June 1918 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. She married Woodrow Wilson Cosby, son of Wilson Dance Cosby and Marian Ethel Adkins, on 23 November 1935 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Woodrow and Eva separated on 10 July 1978. Eva (Vest) Cosby and Woodrow Wilson Cosby were divorced on 22 May 1980 at Chesterfield County, Virginia.

Eva Vest died on 9 November 2000 at age 82.
