According to the transcription of what appears to have been an obituary attached to his Find-A-Grave memorial he was survived by his wife Sarah Stevenson Cosby and two children Jamie Cosby and Rachel Cosby. His brother Jerry Cosby was also still alive. He taught at VCU and John Tyler Community College for 50 years and was a life-long member of Tomahawk Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher since he was 21 yearss old. Funeral services were held on 26 April 2016 at the Tomahawk Baptist Church. He was buried in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, Chesterfield County, Virginia.

Nelle Kilroy

     Nelle Kilroy was born on 18 November 1891 in Earlington, Hopkins County, Kentucky, the daughter of Lawrence Kilroy and Mollie Murphy.

Nelle Kilroy married Charles Taylor Dawson, son of Ira Weldon Dawson and Mary Louellen Taylor, before 1918 as Nell was listed as his wife on the WWI Registration for Charles. Nelle served as secretary for Alfred Ogle for many years and later served for Thomas L. Kemp when they were presidents of the Indiana Gas and Chemical Corporation. She moved to Indianapolis with Kemp when he left Terre Haute to join the Citizens Gas Company there. She had also been assistant to the dean of the social services graduate school at Indiana University for 15 years. She was active in many local organizations and an active member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church at the time of her death.

Nelle Kilroy died on 3 September 1959 in St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, at age 67 at 6:30 in the morning. Her cause of death was a stroke from which she never regained consciousness. She was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana, in Section 5.

Mary Emeline Carpenter

     Mary Emeline Carpenter was born in 1835 in Allen County, Kentucky. She married Hamilton Duke Wade on 15 October 1859 in Allen County, Kentucky.

Mary Emeline Carpenter died in 1865 in Kentucky from yellow fever. Her husband Hampton had been serving in the Kentucky Infantry Volunteers during the Civil War and was said to have taken furlough and returned home when he received word of her illness but was only able to watch her from the window because of fear of contagion. Her death seems to have occurred before January 11, 1865 as that was the date his furlough ended.
