He married Frances Elizabeth Overstreet, daughter of Judson Edgar Overstreet and Hattie Eleanor White, on 30 July 1938 at Bedford, Bedford County, Virginia; with the ceremony performed by Presbyterian minister J.H. Grey. Jack Montague Rice and Frances Elizabeth (Overstreet) Rice lived in April 1940 at 4411 Cutshaw, Richmond, Ricmond (Independent City), Virginia. Jack Montague Rice was a credit manager for a finance company in April 1940 at Richmond, Virginia. He and Frances Elizabeth (Overstreet) Rice appeared on the census of 1940 at Ricmond (Independent City), Virginia; enumerated 9 April. Jack M Rice was enumerated as the 38 year old head of household and he suppied their information to the enumerator. He was paying $50 monthly rent for what was likely an apartment. Elizabeth O Rice was enumerated as his 29 year old wife. They both had four year high school educations. Jack had worked 52 weeks during 1939 earning $1,788. Elizabeth had worked 52 weeks during 1939 earning $1,180.

     Margaret Hopkins was born on 16 August 1883. She married Thornwell Johnson White, son of Nathaniel Green White and Eleanor Mary Jane White, on 19 June 1901 at Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina; with the ceremony performed by Rev G H Cornelson, Jr.

Margaret (Hopkins) White died on 16 June 1902 at age 18. She was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina; in Section G.

     Annie McGuire Hartsook was born on 25 January 1883 at Virginia. She married Thornwell Johnson White, son of Nathaniel Green White and Eleanor Mary Jane White, on 10 August 1904 at Alamance County, North Carolina. McGuire (Hartsook) White appeared on the census of 1910 in the household of Thornwell Johnson White at Cabarrus County, North Carolina; enumerated 21 April. Thornwell White was enumerated as the 32 year old head of household. McGuire H White was enumerated as his 28 year old wife and the mother of three children, all living. They had been married six years. It was his second marriage and her first. Three daughters were enumerated as Francis M age 5, Ruth T age 3 and 11 month old Elizabeth C. McGuire (Hartsook) White and Thornwell Johnson White lived in April 1910 at 25 Bell Avenue, Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

Annie McGuire Hartsook died on 16 October 1933 at age 50. She was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina; in Section G.
