     Martha Rogers was born on 18 May 1800; daughter of Seth and Eliza Martha Rogers. She married James White Scott, son of John Scott and Margaret White, on 18 January 1826.

Martha (Rogers) Scott died on 22 October 1851 at age 51.

     Mary Scott was born on 27 October 1826. She was the daughter of James White Scott and Martha Rogers. Mary (Scott) Query died on 25 March 1919 at age 92.

Martha (scott) Pharr died on 4 May 1901 at age 70.

     Alexander Clark Scott was born on 3 September 1832 at North Carolina. He was the son of James White Scott and Martha Rogers. Alexander Clark Scott married Elizabeth Ann Harris on 19 February 1852 at Cobb County, Georgia. Alexander Clark Scott was a planter in 1860 at Madison County, Mississippi. He appeared on the census of 1860 at Madison County, Mississippi; enumerated 25 August. A C Scott was enumerated as the 28 year old head of household with real estate valued at $2,300 and personal estate valued at $5,200. Elizabeth Scott was enumerated as age 24 and Mary Harris was enumerated as age 53. E J Scott was enumerated as a 20 year old male. One Scott male child was enumerated as Jas C age 5. Two Scott female children were enumerated as Mary F age 7 and Elizabeth J age 3. He was a farmer in 1870 at Madison County, Mississippi. He appeared on the census of 1870 at Madison County, Mississippi; enumerated 20 July. Alexander Scott was enumerated as the 38 year old head of household with personal estate valued at $400. Elizabeth Scott was enumerated as age 34 and keeping house. Mary Harris was enumerated as age 64 with real estate valued at $925 and personal estate valued at $230. Three Scott male children were enumerated as James M age 15, Alexander Jr age 5 and one year old Claudius Scott. Two female Scott children were enumerated as Elizabeth age 13 and Norah age 7. He was a miller and farmer in 1880 at Leake County. He appeared on the census of 1880 at Leake County, Mississippi; enumerated 22 June. H C Scott was enumerated as the 47 year old head of household. E A Scott was enumerated as his 43 year old wife. Four sons were enumerated as A W age 15, C B age 11, W age 8, and 7 month old L C. Four daughters were enumerated as L A age 16, C age 9, E age 3, and L age 3. Also enumerated were three Black male farm laborers; A Laflore age 22, Eli Lepard age 40, and F Johnson age 18. He appeared on the census of 1900 at Leake County, Mississippi; enumerated 29 June. A C Scott was enumerated as the 68 year old head of household and he owned his farm free of mortgage. E A Scott was enumerated as his 63 year old wife and the mother of 14 children with nine children living. One son was enumerated as Linly C Scott age 19 and a farm laborer.

     Frances Scott was born on 8 February 1835. She was the daughter of James White Scott and Martha Rogers. Frances Scott married William L Cochran on 29 December 1864.

     William L Cochran was born on 8 July 1825. He married Frances Scott, daughter of James White Scott and Martha Rogers, on 29 December 1864. William L Cochran died on 17 February 1892 at age 66.

     James Calhoun Scott was born on 27 April 1837. He was the son of James White Scott and Martha Rogers.

     Elizabeth L Scott was born on 6 May 1840. She was the daughter of James White Scott and Martha Rogers.

     Agnes Scott was born on 16 May 1802 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of John Scott and Margaret White. Agnes Scott suffered the death of her mother, Margaret (White) Scott on 10 November 1804 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Agnes Scott likely died before 1811 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

     Alice Dale White was born on 23 September 1906. She was the daughter of Eber Devoe White and Mary "Mollie" Pinckney Martin. Alice Dale White appeared on the census of 1910 in the household of her father, Eber Devoe White at Quitman County, Mississippi, as Alice D White age three. Alice Dale White died on 4 January 1916 at age 9. She was buried at Old Lebanon Cemetery, Lafayette County, Mississippi.

William Lex White was the sheriff in April 1940 at Lee County, Mississippi. He appeared on the census of 1940 at Lee County, Mississippi; enumerated 11 April. Lex White was enumerated as the 36 year old head of household and was paying $15 monthly rent for his home. He had worked 28 weeks during 1939, earning $3,000. Jewel White was enumerated as his 21 year old wife and she supplied their information to the enumerator. They had both completed two years of college. Included in the household were Lex's 65 year old widowed mother Mollie White and his 25 year old niece Lillian Busby. He suffered the death of his mother, Mary "Mollie" Pinckney (Martin) White on 10 January 1966 at Belen, Quitman County, Mississippi.

William Lex White died on 19 August 1972 at age 68. He was buried at Belen Cemetery, Belen, Quitman County, Mississippi.

     Richard "Dick" Devoe White was born on 28 October 1940. He was the son of William Lex White. Richard "Dick" Devoe White suffered the death of his grandmother, Mary "Mollie" Pinckney (Martin) White on 10 January 1966 at Belen, Quitman County, Mississippi.

Richard "Dick" Devoe White died on 13 June 1991 at age 50. He was buried at Belen Cemetery, Belen, Quitman County, Mississippi.

     Wesley Garmon was born at North Carolina. He was the son of Rev. Henry Garmon and Martha White. Lore states he "enlisted in Company E, 71st Regiment Junior Reserves and lost his life."

     Samuel H. White was born in 1823 at North Carolina. He was the son of James White Sr. and Matilda Martha Black. Samuel H. White suffered the death of his mother, Matilda Martha (Black) White on 23 September 1841 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Samuel H. White married Martha E Bigger on 9 March 1848 at North Carolina. Samuel H. White died on 9 February 1859 at North Carolina.

     Martha E Bigger was born in 1827 at North Carolina. She married Samuel H. White, son of James White Sr. and Matilda Martha Black, on 9 March 1848 at North Carolina. Martha E. (Bigger) White was widowed with the death of her husband, Samuel H. White on 9 February 1859 at North Carolina.

     Rebecca Matilda White was born on 2 May 1849 at North Carolina. She was the daughter of Samuel H. White and Martha E Bigger. Rebecca Matilda White married Franklin Pierce Boger, son of Allen Boger and Hessie White, on 27 March 1871 at North Carolina.

Rebecca Matilda (White) Boger died on 30 May 1917 at North Carolina at age 68. She was buried at Bogers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

However, the 1850 census listed this person as a male with the given name of Francis R.H. White. The 1860 census listed him as James R.H. White. Believe the Lore book entry is incorrect about name, sex and marriage. More research needed on the person. James R. H. White was a farmer in 1880 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina.      Charles Malone White was born in September 1841 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina. He was the son of James White Sr. Charles Malone White was born in February 1843 at North Carolina. He appeared on the census of 1850 in the household of James White Sr. at Cabarrus County, North Carolina, as age eight and attending school. Charles Malone White appeared on the census of 1860 in the household of James White Sr. at Cabarrus County, North Carolina, as Charly M. White, age 17 and working as a farm hand. Charles Malone White married Susan Lavenia Turner on 4 April 1866 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Charles Malone White appeared on the census of 1870 in the household of James White Sr. at Cabarrus County, North Carolina, as C. M. White, a 24 year old farmer. Included with him were Susan White age 23 and Alice White age one year six months. Charles Malone White appeared on the census of 1880 at Catawba County, North Carolina; enumerated 2 June. Charles M. White was enumerated as the 38 year old head of household and a store clerk. Susan L. White was enumerated as his 34 year old wife. Three daughters were enumerated as Alice L. age eleven, Hattie age seven and Mary E. age five. Two sons were enumerated as Willie age nine and Marvin age three. Two boarders were living with the family, a 21 year old female and a 38 year old male. He and Susan L. (Turner) White moved circa 1891 to Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. Charles Malone White and Susan L. (Turner) White lived in June 1900 at 12 Spruce Street, Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. Charles Malone White appeared on the census of 1900 at Buncombe County, North Carolina; enumerated 5 June. Charles M. White was enumerated as the 57 year old head of household and working in the "fish business." He was renting the family's home on Spruce Street. Susan L. White was enumerated as his 52 year old wife and the mother of nine children with eight children living. They had been married 34 years. Three daughters were enumerated as Alice L. age 30, Hattie age 26 and Edwena age 15. Two sons were enumerated as Marvin age 21 and James T. age 12. Alice was working as a dry goods saleswoman, Marvin was working in the fish business, Edwena and James were attending school.

Charles Malone White died on 13 October 1907 at age 66. He was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina; in Section M with an upright marker than includes the inscription: Cpl. Co K 28 Regt NC, Confederate States of America. A flat marker was later added to the family plot in Section H Lot 25.

     Susan Lavenia Turner was born on 23 December 1847 at North Carolina; daughter of John S. Turner and Lavenia Flannigan. She married Charles Malone White, son of James White Sr., on 4 April 1866 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Susan L. (Turner) White appeared on the census of 1870 in the household of James White Sr. at Cabarrus County, North Carolina, as Susan White, age 23 and keeping house. Included with her were C. M. White a 24 year old farmer and Alice White age one year six months. Susan L. (Turner) White appeared on the census of 1880 in the household of Charles Malone White at Catawba County, North Carolina; enumerated 2 June. Charles M. White was enumerated as the 38 year old head of household and a store clerk. Susan L. White was enumerated as his 34 year old wife. Three daughters were enumerated as Alice L. age eleven, Hattie age seven and Mary E. age five. Two sons were enumerated as Willie age nine and Marvin age three. Living with her were two single daughters, Alice L. age 30 and Hattie age 26. Also enumerated in the household was Susan's son Charles H. White age 28, daughter-in-law Nannie L. White age 26 and grandson James White age two. Susan and Hattie were not working. Alice and Nannie were salesladies in a dry goods store. Charlie was a traveling salesman. She lived in April 1930 at 293 Hillird Street, Asheville, North Carolina; with her daughters Alice and Hattie. She appeared on the census of 1930 at Buncombe County, North Carolina; enumerated 17 April. Susian L. White was enumerated as the 80 year old widowed head of household. She owned her home valued at $7,000. Two single daughters were enumerated in the household, Hattie age 42 and Alice age 49. Hattie was not working and Alice was a saleslady for a dry goods store. One boarder was enumerated as 35 year old George Gooles/Goules, a cook for a lunch room. He was single, born in Greece and had immigrated to the U.S. in 1916.

Susan L. (Turner) White died on 21 June 1931 at 293 Hilliard Avenue, Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, at age 83; at 6:10 p.m. of cancer of the uterus. She was buried on 23 June 1931 at Riverside Cemetery, Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina; under the direction of Reynolds Undertaking Company in Section H Lot 25 Grave 9.
