He appeared on the census of 1900 at Adair County, Iowa; enumerated 5 June. William Jones was enumerated as a 59 year old day laborer with a mortgage on his home. Survila Jones was enumerated as his wife age 53 and the mother of ten children with eight still living. Also enumerated in the household was a twelve year old daughter, Stella. Researcher's Note: It appears that the William H. Jones family moved from Iowa to Kansas circa 1875, back to Iowa circa 1877, to Kansas circa 1879 back to Iowa before 1880, back to Kansas for the 1880 census and finally back to Iowa after 1880.

Killion appeared on the census of 1900 at Menard County, Illinois; enumerated 1 June. Flem Killion was enumerated as a 47 year old teamster. Emma Killion was enumerated as age 37 and the mother of five children with three still living. They were renting their home in Petersburg. Killion children included in the household were; Harry J. age nineteen, Bell J. age eighteen and Riley age nine Frank Powers, a boarder, was also living with the family. Researcher's Note: Harry J. and Bell J. were listed as Killion children in error. They were Emma's children from her first marriage and their surname was Johnson. He had suffered from cancer for eighteen years.

Fleming W. Killion died on 4 March 1904 at Menard County, Illinois, at age 50; at his home near Petersburg. Funeral services were held on 6 March 1904; at his residence. He was buried at Lebanon Cemetery, Menard County, Illinois.
