They must have divorced shortly after the censs as on the 1930 census two of the children are enumerated as stepsons of Mytle's second husband. He married Effie Rachael (Brassfield) Barlow, daughter of William D. Brassfield and Minerva Frances Collop, on 6 April 1931 at Kirksville, Adair County, Missouri; with the ceremony performed by John C. Mills Jr., Probate Judge of Adair County. On 28 March 1955, Ira Boltz underwent surgery for "diabetic gangrene" of the left foot. Ira Boltz died on 4 April 1955 at Kirksville, Adair County, Missouri, at age 71; at 11:42 p.m. of a pulmonary embolism after a twenty day hospital stay. He was buried on 7 April 1955 at Ft.
