Nellye Lou Campbell married Forest Bascom Sandige on 24 May 1905 in Amherst County, Virginia, at the home of Nelley. They were married at the home of the bride and due to the recent death of her father only immediate relatives were present. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T.H. Campbell of Louisa County who was Nelley's uncle. The best man was B.B. Sandidge who was the brother of Forest. A dinner at the home of the bride followed the ceremony. Following the dinner Nelley and Forest left on the northbound train Number 50 for a trip to Washing, Baltimore and other locations. Forest and Nellye had at least three children including Lucille B. Sandidge, Margret C. Sandidge, and Geraldine Buckwitt Sandidge.

Nellye Lou Campbell died on 29 December 1958 in Lynchburg, Campbell County, Virginia, at age 79. She was buried in Mount Pleasant United Church Cemetery, Lynchburg, Virginia.

Martha's father left her a negro boy named Hampshire, a negro woman named Isbel and her child named Rachel, one bed and furniture, one saddle and ten pounds, one flax wheel and one cotton wheel, one loom and all things pertaining to it, and one third part of his household and kitchen furnitue excepting two beds. He also left her a piece of land knowd by the name of Cincocks, which contained one hundred and one acres and one half, more or less.

According to Mary Ann's father's will, she and her husband had several children, one of whom was named Richard Clarke. Richard's grandfather left him one Negro girl in his will in 1792 stating that the profits arising from the negro were to be equally divided between the rest of Mary's children. Mary was listed in the will as deceased. Another negro woman named Mell was left to all the children together.

Mary Ann (Cottrell) Clarke died in 1786 in Henrico County, Virginia.
