     Salvisa Taylor was born in April 1860 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Joshua F Taylor and Jane Dick. Salvisa Taylor married Moses Hamilton Holder on 8 March 1878 in Russell County, Kentucky.

Salvisa Taylor died on 19 December 1911 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, at age 51.

     Delila Hulda Taylor was born in 1840 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Joshua F Taylor and Jane Dick. Delila Hulda Taylor married Seburn Crutchfield on 15 March 1858 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

Delila Hulda Taylor died before 1870 in Kentucky as she was not listed on the 1870 census where her two children were listed as living in the household of her father and mother in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

     Galen Elliot Taylor was born in 1838 in Kentucky. He was the son of Joshua F Taylor and Jane Dick. Galen Elliot Taylor married Elizabeth Ashley on 2 February 1860 in Casey County, Kentucky. Galen served as a private in Company H of the 1st Union Kentucky Calvary from August 1860 until June 1861. Galen Elliot Taylor began military service on 21 July 1861 in Mintonville, Kentucky, as a Bugler in Captain Sweeny's Company of the 1st Regiment of the Union Kentucky Cavalry. This was his second enlistment in the Union Army. He ended military service on 28 May 1862 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, with a disability due to Bronchitis and general bad health. The Certificate of Disability, signed in Nashville, stated he was not stout when he entered the Army.

Galen Elliot Taylor died in 1872 in Casey County, Kentucky. He was buried in Bethelridge Cemetery, Bethelridge, Casey County, Kentucky.

     Martha Jane Taylor was born in 1830 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Joshua F Taylor and Patsy Martha Higgins. Many records exist for individuals who could be Martha Jane including a marriage to a William G. Dubord and a Benjamin King. Records also exist for deaths and burials for a Martha J. Sloan and a Martha Jane Ping. However, when comparing dates and census records a clear and reasonably definable picture of her potential live does not emerge. Therefore rather than speculate we leave her at birth in 1830 in Kentucky, likely Pulaski County.

     Jane Senior Taylor was born in 1815 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Joshua F Taylor and Patsy Martha Higgins.

     Matilda Baugh was born on 26 April 1826.

Matilda Baugh died on 24 June 1854 in Kentucky at age 28.

     Nancy Debord was born in 1849 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Matilda Baugh.

     Elizabeth Ashley was born on 5 July 1841 in Kentucky the daughter of Robert Smith Ashley and Delila Wesley. She married Galen Elliot Taylor, son of Joshua F Taylor and Jane Dick, on 2 February 1860 in Casey County, Kentucky. Elizabeth Ashley was widowed with the death of Galen Elliot Taylor in 1872 in Casey County, Kentucky.

Elizabeth Ashley died on 20 February 1927 in Kentucky at age 85. She was buried in Middleburg Cemetery, Middleburg, Casey County, Kentucky.

     Mitchell Daugherty Taylor was born on 10 November 1860 in Kentucky. He was the son of Galen Elliot Taylor and Elizabeth Ashley.

Mitchell liked short names and refused to give any of his children middle names. He usually stuck to names with less five or less letters. He apparently shortened his own name to Mitchel later in life. Mitchell married twice, first to Eliza Tilford Taylor who was born in 1866 and died in 1872 and Lillie May McCormack who was born in 1876 and died in 1954.

Mitchell and Eliza had at least four children including Jason Taylor, Louis Taylor, Sadie Taylor, and Florence Taylor.

Mitchell and Lillie had at least two children including Montie Taylor and Joy Taylor.

Mitchell Daugherty Taylor died on 17 August 1933 in Kentucky at age 72. He was buried in Middleburg Cemetery, Middleburg, Casey County, Kentucky.

     Frank Wolford Taylor was born on 22 December 1862 in Kentucky. He was the son of Galen Elliot Taylor and Elizabeth Ashley. Frank married Clara Jane Bastin who was born on 11 December 1875 and died on 23 December 1909.

Joyce Taylor who was born on 23 June 1894 in Kentucky and died on 13 January 1972 in Gaston County, North Carolina and was buried in Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia in Gaston County, North Carolina.

Anthony Irving Taylor was born on 23 September 1898 and died on 14 June 1925 and was buried in Mount Zion Cemetery in Science Hill in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

Frances Edith Taylor was born in 1901, died in 1903, and was buried in Middleburg Cemetery in Middleburg in Casey County, Kentucky.

Mitchell E. Taylor was born on 25 September 1903 in Casey County, Kentucky, died on 15 November 1984 in Cincinnati in Hamilton County, Ohio.

Victor Vernon Taylor was born on 5 October 1906 in Casey County, Kentucky, died on 6 Auigust 1950 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, and was buried in Somerset City Cemetery in Somerset in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Victor was an Airport Manager and Scrap Dealer. He was burned to death after a plane he and two others were in crashed on a farm of Caradine Edwards near Somerset, Kentucky.

William was born on 18 March 1853 in Virginia and died on 6 June 1923 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.

Sarah and William had at least six children including an unnamed child, Claude Gilpin, Tyner Gilpin, Nora Frances Gilpin, Earl Gilpin, and Preston Gilpin.

Sarah Malvina Taylor died on 26 July 1934 in Joelton, Davidson County, Tennessee, at age 68. She was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.

     Patrick Henry Taylor was born on 16 June 1868 in Kentucky. He was the son of Galen Elliot Taylor and Elizabeth Ashley. Patrick married Lena Jane Fogle who was born on 13 October 1866, died on 23 February 1942, and was buried in Glenwood Cemetery in Liberty in Casey County, Kentucky.

Patrick Henry Taylor died on 20 June 1936 in Kentucky at age 68. He was buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Liberty, Casey County, Kentucky.

     Isabel Taylor was born on 20 July 1871 in MIddleburg, Casey County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Galen Elliot Taylor and Elizabeth Ashley. Isabel first married Jeff Short and then on 30 November 1895 married Elzie Logan Lanham in Kasey County, Kentucky.

Elzie was born on 23 September 1877 in Hustonville in Lincoln County, Kentucky and died on 31 July 1955 in Decatur in Macon County, Illnois.

Elzie and Isabel had at least one child named Flora Lanham who was born on 13 August 1896 in Hustonville in Lincoln County, Kentucky and died on 2 April 1924 in Bloomington in McLean County, Illinois She was buried in Park Hill Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bloomington in McLean County, Illinois.

Isabel Taylor died on 27 November 1946 in Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, at age 75.

     Jacob and Mary had at least six children including Jacob Taylor, John Taylor, Mary Ann Taylor, Alexander Taylor, Adam Taylor, and Elizabeth Taylor. Mary A. Taylor was born on 22 February 1872 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Galen Elliot Taylor and Elizabeth Ashley. Mary married John B. Allen who was born in 1872 and died in 1936. He was buried in Linden Grove Cemetery in Covington in Kenton County, Kentucky. John was the son of James Taylor Allen and Mary C. Henson.

Mary A. Taylor died on 23 December 1954 in Kentucky at age 82. She was buried in Linden Grove Cemetery, Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky.

     Pernetta Elizabeth Taylor was born on 2 April 1825 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff. Pernetta Elizabeth Taylor married William Robert Higgins on 18 March 1850 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

Pernetta Elizabeth Taylor died on 5 October 1914 in Pulaski, Pulaski County, Kentucky, at age 89. Her cause of death was dysentery. She was buried in Vanhook-Higgins Cemetery, Pulaski County, Kentucky, with the name on the joint stone with her husband William R. Higgins being Neta Taylor. Her stone was later moved to Freedom Cemetery, also located in Pulaski County.

     John S Taylor was born in 1829 in Putnam County, Kentucky. He was the son of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff. It seems likely that John married soon after the 1850 census where he was still living with his parents. There is a marriage record for a John Taylor and Elizabeth Rader but other records seem to confirm Elizabeth's marriage was to a John Taylor living in Hart County. The marriage record for John S. Taylor and Eliza Hail is clear with a marriage in 1857. She is also listed as the mother of William G. Taylor. Thus, the name of his first wife and the mother of his first three children Lucy J., Louisiana, and Reuben is unknon. John S Taylor married Elizabeth Hail on 15 June 1857 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. According to the 1900 census it appears likely that Eliza died sometime after 1880 and that John married a third wife named Anna in 1886.

     Francis Asbury Taylor was born in 1832 in Kentucky. He was the son of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff.

     Isaac Taylor was born in 1834 in Kentucky. He was the son of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff.

     James Frank Taylor was born in 1836 in Kentucky. He was the son of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff. It is believed that Elizabeth and Thomas had two sons.

     Lousiana Taylor was born in 1839 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff.

     Catherine Jane Taylor was born in 1841 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff.

     Byrd Taylor was born in 1843 in Kentucky. He was the son of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff.

     Lewis Patrick Taylor was born on 18 November 1847 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. He was the son of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff. Lewis Patrick Taylor married Malissa T. Quinton on 6 August 1868 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

Lewis Patrick Taylor died on 13 September 1926 in Shelby County, Kentucky, at age 78. He was buried in Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, Shelby County, Kentucky.

     Sarah A Taylor was born in 1849 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff.

     William Robert Higgins was born on 25 November 1830 the son of James Higgins and Christiana Suances. He married Pernetta Elizabeth Taylor, daughter of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff, on 18 March 1850 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

William Robert Higgins died on 12 March 1902 at age 71.

     Elizabeth Hail was born in 1824 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. She married John S Taylor, son of Isaac Lincoln Taylor and Sarah Scott Eoff, on 15 June 1857 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Eliza was listed as Louisa on the 1880 census. It is likely she died sometime before 1886 as John re-married in 1886.

Taylor was a witness It seems likely that John married soon after the 1850 census where he was still living with his parents. There is a marriage record for a John Taylor and Elizabeth Rader but other records seem to confirm Elizabeth's marriage was to a John Taylor living in Hart County. The marriage record for John S. Taylor and Eliza Hail is clear with a marriage in 1857. She is also listed as the mother of William G. Taylor. Thus, the name of his first wife and the mother of his first three children Lucy J., Louisiana, and Reuben is unknon.

Taylor and Eliza Hail is clear with a marriage in 1857. She is also listed as the mother of William G. Taylor. Thus, the name of his first wife and the mother of his first three children Lucy J., Louisiana, and Reuben is unknon. Reuben was not listed on the 1870 census. He would have been 14 years old thus it is probably he died before 1870.
