Daisy Seats

F
Daisy Seats and Ralph W. Mullen obtained a marriage license on 25 August 1919. Daisy Seats married Ralph W. Mullen, son of William Wilburn Wilson Mullen and Bethana Bartlett, on 26 August 1919 at Mountain View, Howell County, Missouri; ceremony performed at the home of the groom by C. L. Chowning, Justice of the Peace. On Thursday night, August 28, "a truck load and several car loads of their friends motored out and charivaried" Ralph and Daisy. Daisy (Seats) Mullen appeared on the census of 1920 in the household of Ralph W. Mullen at Howell County, Missouri; enumerated 20 January. Ralph was enumerated as age 36, head of household and a farmer who owned his land free of mortgage. Daisy was enumerated as his wife, age 24. Included in the household was Travis Beller age four. He was listed as the son of the head of household, but was likely his step-son. It appears that Daisy likely gave the information to the census enumerator, as the birth place for both Ralph's parents is listed as Iowa which is incorrect.
