Jacob was born on 24 October 1835 and died on 3 June 1894. He enlisted in Company B of the Ohio 60th Infantry Regiment on 13 August 1862 and served three months mustering out of service on 10 November 1862. This was both Mary and Jacobs second marriage. Mary had previously been married to George Elizah VanCleav and they had one child named John H. VanCleav. Jacob had previously been married to Eliza Ann Stringe on 9 January 1856 and they had at least three children including Benjamin A. Donoho, John L. Donoho, and Nancy Elizabeth Donaho. Mary Jane and Jacob had at least two children including Sallie Donoho and Delia Donoho. John Lashbrook Goodwin

     John Lashbrook Goodwin was born on 22 July 1834 in Daviess County, Kentucky. He was the son of Amos H Goodwin and Dorcas Lashbrook. John married Francis Marion Iglehear in 1877. She was born on 12 July 1849 in Kentucky and died on 6 February 1910. John was one of the best-known farmers in Daviess County. He was seated at the dinner table talking to his family when he dropped dead from a heart attack. John and Francis were both buried in the Mount Zion Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery in Panther in Daviess County. They had at least four children including Lydia Goodwi, Ellen Goodwi, Samuel H. Goodwi, and James W. Goodwin.

John Lashbrook Goodwin died on 14 July 1913 at age 78.

Edwin Goodwin

     Edwin Goodwin was born on 22 January 1838 in Jeffereson County, Kentucky. He was the son of Amos H Goodwin and Dorcas Lashbrook. Edwin was raised on a farm but learned to be a blacksmith from his father and worked as a blacksmith for 10 years before becoming engaged in the Mercantile and Tobacco trade in 1870. He married Medora Mille in 1871. She was also known as Dora and was the daughter of William B. Mille and Lavinia Johnso. Medora was born on 15 November 1848 and died on 26 April 1878 at her parents’ home in McLean County. She was buried in the Miller Family Cemetery in Guffie in McLean County, Kentucky. Edwin was a magistrate of the Vanover precinct for sixteen years and was a Mason. He died on 7 September 1889 and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Glenville in Daviess County. Edwin and Dora had at least two children including Emma M. Goodwi and Lavinia Goodwin.

Edwin Goodwin died on 7 September 1889 at age 51. He was buried in Mouont Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery, Glenville, Daviess County, Kentucky.

Albert Smith Marks

     Albert Smith Marks was born on 16 October 1836 in Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky. He was the son of Elisha Smith Marks and Elizabeth Lashbrook. Albert married Novella C. Davis on 29 April 1863 in Marshall County, Tennessee. He moved to Winchester, Tennessee at the age of nineteen where he read law and was soon admitted to the bar. He enlisted in the confederate Army after Tennessee left the Union and attained the rank of Colonel. He was shot in the leg in 1862 at the Battle of Stones River while leading a charge and his leg had to be amputated. After recovering he served as a judge advocate until the end of the war. In 1878 he was elected as governor of Tennessee and served for two years. He decided not to run for a second term. His wife Novella was a devoted Cumberland Presbyterian and was the only woman ever appointed to the Board of Directors of the General Assembly’s Educational Society. Albert and Novella were both buried in the Winchester City Cemetery in Winchester in Franklin County, Tennessee. They had at least two children including Arthur Handly Mark and Albert Davis Marks.

Albert Smith Marks died on 4 November 1891 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, at age 55.
