Julia (Crump) Cottrell died on 20 August 1938 in Richmond, Virginia, at age 82 in the evening at a local hospital. Funeral services were held on 22 August 1938 in Richmond, Virginia, at the home of her son Emmett D Cottrell at 3105 West Grace Street.
